DATA SCIENTIST

As part of our expansion plans in Europe, we are now opening a position for

Data Scientist

to support the research and development team.

You will be working with our engineers and data scientists to help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of mobility data, in particular vehicle driving data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver reliable profiles to explain the variable costs of mobility. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products. Such tasks include the modelling of driver behavior components, energy consumption and vehicle components wear using machine learning, designing scoring functions, propose metrics for mobility assessment based on multi-dimensional features.

Responsibilities

  • Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
  • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
  • Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
  • Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
  • Creating predictive models for mobility and constant tracking of its performance

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Deep Learning, etc.
  • Experience with at least one of the most common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, Jupyter Notebooks, etc
  • Great communication skills in English (French or German is a plus)
  • Experience with data visualization tools
  • Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL
  • Experience with NoSQL databases and object storage is a plus
  • Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
  • Good scripting and programming skills in Python or R
  • Data-oriented personality

MOBILE DEVELOPER

As part of our expansion plans in Europe, we are now opening a position for

Mobile Developer (Android, iOS, Xamarin)

to support the mobile and platform development team.
You will be working with our engineers to develop and maintain high quality mobile applications. If you’re passionate about mobile platforms and translating code into user-friendly apps, we would like to meet you. As a Mobile developer, you’ll collaborate with internal teams, including backend devs, frontend devs and data scientists to develop functional mobile applications, while working in a fast-paced environment.
Ultimately, you should be able to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
  • Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean code
  • Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions
  • Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
  • Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance
  • Design interfaces to improve user experience
  • Liaise with Product development team to plan new features
  • Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards
  • Research and suggest new mobile products, applications and protocols

Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Mobile developer with either native (iOS, Android) or Xamarin frameworks
  • Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android market
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Familiarity with OOP design principles
  • Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to perform in a team environment
  • BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field

QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

As part of our expansion plans in Europe, we are now opening a position for a

Quality Assurance Engineer

to support the mobile and platform development team.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality for our telematics platform and our mobile applications.
The candidate will have to design and implement tests, debug and define and document corrective actions for the development team. The candidate will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.). The candidate should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
The QA Engineer role will play an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.
Candidates holding an engineering background and interested in end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, are welcomed for an interview.

Job duties

  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Monitor the status of the platforms in both production and staging environments

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • Experience in working in Grails and Xamarin is a plus
